All sessions are online. No long-term contracts — book as many or as few sessions as you need.
Personalized sessions focused entirely on your student. Bring a concept that isn't clicking, an upcoming test, a problem set — whatever's on the table that week. Most students book the 55-minute slot as their regular session.
Available in 25 or 55 minutes. College and university rates are higher to reflect the increased complexity of the material.
Don't see a time that works? Email kristen@mindthegaptutoring.ca and I'll do my best to accommodate.
Book a Tutoring SessionEvery session is built around what your student needs that day. No group dynamics, no curriculum to follow — just the material in front of you and the support to actually understand it.
Book a slot on cal.com, then email your completed assignment to kristen@mindthegaptutoring.ca. It comes back within 48 hours with detailed feedback — corrections, explanations, and suggestions to strengthen the work before it counts.
Best for students who want a second set of eyes before submitting, are working independently and don't have a teacher to check their work, or want detailed written feedback they can reference later.
A lot of assignment "review" services circle wrong answers and hand it back. This one explains why something is wrong and what the correct approach looks like — so students don't repeat the same mistakes.

Weekly 25-minute video calls for students in self-paced programs who need external structure to stay on track. We review progress, set goals, and build a timeline that actually gets them to the finish line—before the course expires.
More than just a to-do list: These sessions are designed to stop the "parent-as-nag" cycle. We check in on their plan, but we also use the time for mini-tutoring boosts—clearing up a concept or unsticking an assignment so they can actually keep moving.
Booked as a recurring weekly series. Stop anytime—no long-term lock-in beyond what you've scheduled.
Book Accountability SessionsSelf-paced sounds flexible until a student goes three weeks without opening their course. These 1-on-1 check-ins add a weekly touchpoint that keeps students moving, catches problems early, and prevents the deadline panic.

The Evidence of Learning form is required before ILC will enroll a homeschooled student — and getting it wrong means starting over. You send me your curriculum and activity records from the past year or two, I work through them and draft the form offline, then we meet for up to 90 minutes to fill in any gaps and make sure everything is ready to submit.
If you're enrolling for the first time or have had a previous application rejected or returned, this is the session that gets it done right.
Send your curriculum and activity records ahead of the session. We meet to fill any gaps and confirm everything before submitting.
Book Enrollment SupportThe Evidence of Learning form trips up a lot of families. You send your records ahead of time, I do the heavy lifting offline, and we meet to finalize — so your student's enrollment isn't delayed by a form that was returned or rejected.

Just book any session and we'll sort it out in the first few minutes. Or send me an email and I'll point you in the right direction.
